
Bob D’Eith
B.A.(Hon), J.D. (LL.B.) – Univ. of Victoria
With 20 years experience in the Music Industry, Bob D’Eith continues to pursue his personal mission of guiding new and established musical talent in the Recording Industry. Bob is highly recognized by his Music Industry peers and is a top entertainment lawyer in his native Canada. He continues to represent some of the biggest producers, artists and record labels.
Bob has also been involved in advocacy and promotion of musicians and the industry as Executive Director of Music BC. Music BC Industry Association is a non-profit society that supports and promotes the spirit, development, and growth of the BC music community provincially, nationally, and internationally. Music BC provides education, resources, advocacy, opportunities for funding, networking and a forum for communication. Bob is on the National Advisory Board (and past Chairman) of FACTOR (The Foundation to Assist Canadian Talent on Records) with an annual budget in excess of $14 million to support the Canadian Music Industry. He is an executive of the Canadian Independent Record Production Association (CIRPA), a trade organization representing the independent sector of the Canadian music and sound recording industry. He was also one of the visionaries who created the Western Canada Music Awards and was Executive Chair of the Host Committee for the Vancouver 2009 Juno Awards.
Bob D’Eith is a studio owner and president of Adagio Music Inc., an independent record label and music publishing company. He is also an active recording artist. Bob was a founding member of the musical group “Rymes with Orange” and for the past ten years has developed the award winning “Mythos,” a duo which has achieved Top 20 International Status on the Billboard Charts and won 2 WCMA’s and 1 Juno Award nomination.
Kurt Dahl
B.Comm, J.D. (LL.B.), LL.M. – Univ. of Sask
Kurt has been deeply involved in the music industry in Canada over the past 12 years, and has gained valuable experience from all sides of the industry in that time.
As a lawyer, Kurt has practiced law in Saskatchewan and British Columbia over the past 2 years, focusing on entertainment law and working with small businesses. In 2009, he completed his Master of Laws thesis on the future of the music industry, and how artists will continue to earn a living in the digital world. His thesis became a published book, available here. Kurt received his Juris Doctor from the University of Saskatchewan in 2005, and was called to the Bar in Sask. and B.C. in 2010. Kurt is a member of both the Law Society of Saskatchewan and Law Society of British Columbia.

As a musician, Kurt is actively involved with his band One Bad Son, who have toured the country extensively and worked with some of the biggest names in the industry.
Kurt served on the Board of Directors for SaskMusic for 5 years, working with fellow musicians to help them acquire funding, deal with legal issues, effectively promote themselves, etc.
